Work on the open pit
An open pit is a large surface mine where material is extracted by removing layers from the top down until valuable minerals like gold can be accessed and processed.
This creates an enormous hole or depression in the ground that exposes mineral deposits for extraction, typically using heavy machinery to remove overburden (unmineralized rock) before reaching economically viable ore zones.
Rich gold ore has been discovered in this open pit, prompting miners to work diligently towards accessing it. Overburden rocks have also been identified as being highly abundant with gold.
However, we must clarify that this mining site is not organized by our company. Instead, we were responsible for processing the tailings at a nearby location.
