Gold prospecting on the open pit, Amonikakinei, Tiira, Busia, Uganda
Gold prospecting at the open pit site by GOLDIVANTI GOLD LIMITED in Uganda began in early February 2019. The overburden soil was repeatedly and routinely tested for the presence of gold, with each test confirming its presence. The presence of gold is therefore assured for this specific mining site.
People in background are searching for rich gold pockets and such are found few times per each few months or one time per year.
Although they were unaware of how to commercially process the soft soil above the bedrock, which contains a lower concentration of gold, miners were still eager to search for more concentrated pockets.
An inexperienced gold hunting team, other than my own, might conclude, after discovering large gold pockets early on, that luck is the driving factor behind success. This misconception may lead them to continue searching for more pockets, neglecting the processing of the plentiful, yet lower-grade, gold-bearing soil that is consistently present.
For several months, we have been treating tailings from this mining site and have distributed the recovered gold to the license holder.
