Kanungu District

Kanungu has several gold mining locations and continues to contribute to Uganda’s gold production through mainly small-scale mining activities.

Kisoro District

Gold mining also occurs in Kisoro, where artisanal miners work various gold-bearing areas. The district contributes to western Uganda’s overall gold production.

Northern Uganda

Arua District

Gold mining activities are present in Arua and surrounding areas of the West Nile region. Exploration and artisanal mining continue to identify new opportunities for gold production.
