February 27th 2020, On motorcycle through the area of Rubuguri in Uganda
As I went with the motorcycle through the forest alongside the Rubuguri River, the warm sun casting dappled shadows on the forest floor, I felt at one with nature. The air was thick with moisture, and the sounds of the forest enveloped me - the chirping of birds, the rustling of leaves, and the distant howl of a predator, all blending together in a symphony of life. It was as if I had entered a different world, one that existed parallel to the one we see around us, yet eerily similar in its rhythms and beauty. As I rode, I marveled at the majestic views of the surrounding hills and the lush foliage of the forest, teeming with exotic flora and fauna, a true sanctuary of biodiversity. The Kisoro district of Uganda, one of the most pristine and untouched areas in the country, was a driving distance, its proximity to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, drawing me in with its irresistible allure. Our journey on this February 27th, 2020, was just the beginning of an epic adventure that would take us through the heart of Kisoro, into the shadows of Bwindi, and into the depths of the natural world, where I felt invigorated, inspired, and, above all, connected with the very essence of life itself.
